Wife Faces Murder Charges In Fatal Shooting Of Her Husband During Argument

Police said a man was fatally shot during an argument with his wife in their Bowie home. She has been charged with murder.

BOWIE, MD — A woman has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of her husband in their Bowie home Saturday.

On July 19 around 1:45 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the couple's home, located in the 13200 block of Old Chapel Road in Bowie, for a report of a shooting. They found 53-year-old Damian Ward inside with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene, according to police.

The preliminary investigation indicates 50-year-old Nicole Lanett Ward shot her husband during an argument. She has been charged with first- and second-degree murder, along with related charges.

Nicole Ward is in the custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status, police reported.
