AACC Launches Facebook Page with Contest

The community college is making a splash with its entry to the iconic social media site.

Take a stroll around Anne Arundel Community College's Arnold campus and you may see a few photo booths and party hats.

These party favors aren't the remnants of an overnight romp—they're celebrating the organization's entry into Facebook.

"We may be fashionably late, but better late than never to the social media party," reads the first status update.

AACC launched its Facebook page this month and students and professors are helping to promote it by taking some wacky photos together using photo booths around campus. There's also a contest associated with it. Here are the rules if you're interested in participating.

If you find a hat, contestants are asked to take a photo wearing the hat and post it to Facebook, tagging AACC along the way. If you see a photo booth, contestants use the same method.

When the contest ends on Sunday, lucky winners will get one of two iPads, two iPods or  bookstore gift certificates.
