In the North County Community Girls Softball League (NCCGSL) tournament playoffs yesterday, the 10U Broadneck Navy Eagles played a double header for the final four teams.
The team defeated the Severna Park Green, 17-8, to advance to the championship game. They faced the undefeated Elvaton Tornadoes and fought hard, but lost 10-6, placing them second overall.
Broadneck Baseball & Softball's Commissioner of Softball Chris Nemarich said that no Broadneck softball team has ever made it to the championship game in the North County League.
