County Executive Leopold Provides Resources to Residents Affected by Power Outages

County Executive John R. Leopold has announced the county is making drinking water and showers available to residents who are still waiting on power restoration by BGE.Β 

β€œDue to the prolonged power outage many of our citizens are lacking some basic necessities,” County Executive Leopold said. β€œWe want to make sure these resources are available for those who need them.”

Showers are available immediately to those who present identification showing they are county residents at the following locations and times:

  • Arundel Olympic Swim Center 2690 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 410-222-7933, 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays; and
  • North Arundel Aquatic Center 7888 Crain Highway, Glen Burnie, MD 21061 410-222-0090, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays.

Please be sure to bring a towel and your own supplies.Β

  • Arnold Park, 1323 Jones Station Road, Arnold, MD;
  • Heritage Office Complex, 2660 Riva Road, Annapolis, MD 21401; and
  • Eastern District Police Station, 3700 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122.

Residents must bring a receptacle for water, as it is not bottled. There is a limit of 10 gallons per vehicle.
