The Chesapeake Academy boys defeated the SCYA Storm 26-10 and the Ft. Meade Cougars 28-19 this past weekend to clinch the Anne Arundel County Parks & Recreation Championship for their division (10 and under - C league). CA finished with a 9-1 record in league play and currently holds a 10-3 overall record. The Chesapeake Academy Bay Retrievers can celebrate their first sport championship after launching this inaugural team in November 2010. The final game of the season is Weds., Feb 23, at 4-5:30 p.m. in the Flinchum Gymnasium vs. St. John's. It will be the third game of the season between these schools with each team winning once in the preceding two matchups.
