The Anne Arundel County Police have issued the following traffic advisory for Sunday morning, June 5:
On Sunday June 5, the third ZOOMA Half Marathon race will be held in Annapolis.Β The race will begin at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and travel around the stadium and down Rowe Boulevard to streets around the State House and the Naval Academy.
The course will travel over the Naval Academy Bridge into Anne Arundel County. The participants will travel north along the southbound lane of Route 450 to Boulters Way and onto the B&A Trail.Β

The course will turn around prior to Severn Way traveling south on the B&A Trail, Boulters Way and on the shoulder of Route 450 over the Naval Academy Bridge back into Annapolis. The course will conclude back at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
The race is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. and finish around 10:30 a.m. with approximately 3,500 runners participating in the Half-Marathon or 10K portions of the race.

Travelers should expect delays in the area with restricted traffic in Anne Arundel County along Route 450 near the Annapolis Overlook and Boulters Way. The communities in the areas of Winchester and Pines on the Severn should utilize Severn Way and Arnold Road as alternate routes of travel.Β
