
A tip about a suspicious package in Glen Burnie recently led to the arrest of an Arnold man on drug and traffic charges, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
Robert Earl Greenstreet, 34, of Shore Acres Road in Arnold, was arrested on charges of possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and numerous related traffic charges.
On Feb. 9, county police received a tip about a suspicious package being delivered to a Glen Burnie apartment building, according to a police release. Detectives conducted surveillance on the apartment building around 9 a.m. and observed the package being delivered.

Detectives then observed Greenstreet enter the apartment building, leave with the package and get into a Dodge Magnum. Detectives were able to follow his vehicle, observed a traffic violation, and pulled the car over at Route 100 eastbound, just north of the Route 2 exit, according to police.
During the traffic stop, Greenstreet fled in the vehicle, but officers apprehended him a short time later at the intersection of Jumpers Hole Road and Elvaton Road in Glen Burnie. Officers learned that he threw the package from his vehicle as he fled the traffic stop and were able to locate and seize the package near the exit ramp from Route 100 to Route 2 south, a police release said.

Police recovered approximately 490 grams of suspected high-grade marijuana with an estimated street value of $13,500, according to the release.
