Bomb Squad Deems Briefcase Safe After Investigation in Arnold
Authorities responded to a report of a suspicious package found outside a Verizon Store in Arnold.

A bomb squad investigated a  briefcase found outside the Arnold Verizon store but the item was declared safe, a fire department spokesman said.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department Chief Keith Swindle said at 11:30 a.m. Monday, the department received a call regarding a suspicious package left in front of the Verizon store in the Arnold Station shopping center.
After an evaluation by emergency personnel, including a bomb squad from the Annapolis Fire Department, the package was deemed safe and the scene was cleared, Swindle said.Â
