Broadneck Students Tackle West Side Story
BHS students have been working hard to present the beloved musical to the community next month.
A talented cast of over 40 students have been hard at work since before the winter holiday to bring the beloved musical "West Side Story" to Broadneck. The show will be performed on March 10 and 11 at 7 p.m. and on March 12 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
West Side Story is an American musical with a script by Arthur Laurents, music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and choreography by Jerome Robbins. The musical's plot is based on William Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet but put in the 1950's in the heart of Hell's Kitchen in New York City.
The BHS musical will once again be directed by Emily Cory, with Andrew Lincoln serving as music director and Vanessa Pearson as choreographer.
