The regular meeting of the school's PTA will feature an agenda item presentation targeting 4th and 5th grade parents and students. Invitees include representatives from Severn River Middle School, Bates Middle Performing Arts Magnet and Annapolis Middle IB program. Discussion will include general expectations, importance of Grade 4 MSA scores, audition procedure (BATES), and overview of IB programs. The SRMS representative will discuss the kind of students recommended for AVID and what parents should be considering as they explore program options. A Q&A is also planned with former AES students who attend Bates & AMS IB to get the student's perspective.
