You don't often hear about 39-year anniversaries when it comes to the workplace.
But this past week, FutureCare Chesapeake in Arnold employee Carol Stevenson celebrated 39 years at the facility.
Stevenson is a cook in the dietary department of FutureCare, and across the years she has been among the most consistent faces caring for senior citizens. She's worked there since 1974, before the facility had its current name.

"Carol has a true passion for what she does as well as a spirit of kindness and generosity," said FutureCare spokeswoman Sarah Rose Attman. "FutureCare is honored to have Carol on our team for the past 39 years. She is an inspiration to all of us and we appreciate her selfless service for so many years and it is her work and the work of colleagues like Carol that make FutureCare so special."
Stevenson frequently takes meal requests from residents, so they can get their favorite dishes, and she often goes above and beyond what is required to meet any wishes she may be aware of, Attman said.
