Where/When: Thurs. – Sat., Feb. 17-19 at 8 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 20 at 3 p.m., in the Humanities Building, Room 112, at Anne Arundel Community College Arnold campus.

2.Β  Annapolis Home and Remodeling Expo

Where/When:Β  Sat. – Sun., Feb. 19-20 and 26-27; 10 a.m. – 7 p.m; at the Annapolis National Guard Armory.

Why Go: Over 100 companies will showcase a variety of remodeling options that deal with kitchen and bath, decking and fencing, countertops and tile, heating and air and more. Celebrities appearing at the show this weekend include:Β  Paul James, the Gardener Guy from HGTV, and Dr. Lori V, antiques appraiser.

Price: Adults $6; kids 8-12 $5; active and retired military $4. One ticket is valid for both weekends.

3.Β  Colonial Players presents β€œInventing Van Gough”

Where/When:Β  Fri.-Sat., Feb. 18-19 at 8 p.m.; Sun., Feb. 20 at 2 p.m.; Colonial Theater in Annapolis.

Why Go:Β  This drama by Steven Dietz features the story of the final Van Gogh self-portrait and a contemporary painter, hired to forge this final masterpiece.Β 

Price: $20 Adults; $15 Senior Citizens 65 and older and fulltime students with ID.

4.Β  Annapolis Symphony Concert presents Pure Artistry

Where/When:Β  Fri. and Sat., Feb. 18-19, 8 p.m. at the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts in Annapolis.

Why Go: Violinist Elena Urioste, one of today’s rising young stars, will perform the Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto. The majestic melodies of Mozart, Harbison and Ravel will also be performed.

Price: Β Section A: $45;Β Section B: $40; Section C: $35; Section D: $25; Student: $10.

Why Go:Β  Sponsored by the Annapolis Business Association, this annual event allows guests to visit dozens of local Annapolis area restaurants, from Cantler’s to Yellowfin, to enjoy lunch and dinner at bargain prices.

Price: The cost once again this year is $15.95 for a three-course lunch and $29.95 for a three-course dinner.
