Get Out: Weekend of August 20-21

Musicals, walks, and even paper airplanes are options for a fun weekend.

1) 

When/Where: Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m., , Pascal Center for the Performing Arts in Arnold.

Why Go:  Catonsville Youth Theatre’s (CYT) will present the favorite musical "Grease.”

When/Where: Friday, Saturday, 8:30 p.m., Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre, 143 Compromise St. in Annapolis.

Why Go: Come and enjoy the Baltimore-based musical set in 1962 featuring Tracy Turnblad as a young overweight teen who wants to dance on the Corny Collins Show.

When/Where:  Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.

Why Go: Prizes will be awarded, and refreshments will be served after the race. Families, adults, children and groups are encouraged to participate with all proceeds benefitting the Annapolis Boys & Girls Club.

Price:  $30. Register online at www.BGCAA.org or register on-site at the Red Maple Pavilion starting at 8:30 a.m.

4) 

When/Where:  Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., , 8311 John Downs Loop in Pasadena.

Why Go:  Bring your dog and enjoy the canine festivities at Down's Park with games, demonstrations, contests, raffles and a Hawaiian costume contest. 
The proceeds from this event benefit Downs Park, Downs Park Dog Beach and a dog rescue organization.                 

Price: Tickets at the door are $5 for each dog.

5)  Annual Paper Airplane Rally

When/Where:  Saturday, 10 a.m., Linthicum Library, 400 Shipley Road in Linthicum.

Why Go:  Families are welcome to come and fold and decorate their own paper airplane, then fly it through an obstacle course to earn pilot's wings!

Price:  Free.
