Get Out: Weekend of July 30-31

Shows, a race, and a carnival are offered this weekend for local residents.

When/Where:  Sat., 9:30am, start in the back of Deep Creek by the marina and goes out to the Magothy River, registration begins by 8 a.m.  Lunch served at afterwards.

Why Go: Whether a participant or spectator, this race is more about having fun with a group of people who all love the sport of Stand Up.

When/Where:  Sun., 7:30 to 11 p.m., in the Cape St. Claire shopping center.

Why Go:  Enjoy the live music of locals Pilgrim and Trout while enjoying special tropical treats from Broadneck Grill.

When/Where:  Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night at 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday matinee at 2 p.m., at the Theater on Bay Head Road now through August 7.

Why Go: New York professionals have come to Annapolis to share their incredible talents with local residents. The show’s story centers around two star-crossed, down-and-out Skid Row lovers, Seymour and Audrey, who try to make sense of a trashy world of greedy florists, sadistic dentists, sassy street urchins, and a man-eating potted plant from outer space. 

Note: Little Shop of Horrors contains some comedic violence and mild adult language. Parental guidance suggested for children under age 10.

4)  Annual Glen Burnie Carnival

When/Where:  Friday 7 to 11 p.m., Saturday 6 to 11 p.m. thru August 6 at the carnival grounds located at 19 Crain Highway South in Glen Burnie.

Why Go:  Good food, fun games and thrilling rides for everyone in the family.

Price:  Rides For Children and Adults - $1.25 per ticket, Major rides three tickets, Kiddie rides are still one ticket. Tickets can be used any night.

When/Where:  Sat., 6 to 7:30 p.m, at Quiet Waters Park in Annapolis.

Why Go:  The Navy Band Sea Chanters is the United States Navy’s official chorus and perform traditional choral music, including sea chanteys and patriotic fare, opera, Broadway, and contemporary music.

Price:  Free. Donations accepted.
