Overnight Fire Displaces Arnold Family
The fire caused approximately $25,000 in total damage to the home, and smoke detectors were found to be inoperable, a fire department spokesman said.

A house fire in the 900 block of Phillips Road Wednesday morning sent a family of four out into the cold.
Anne Arundel County Fire Department spokesman Chief Keith Swindle said at around 2:30 a.m., firefighters arrived at the one-story dwelling, seeing smoke from the windows. A team of 30 firefighters brought the one-alarm fire under control in less than 30 minutes.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but is believed to be electrical in nature, Swindle said.
