Patch Picks: Local Super Bowl Celebrations

Here's our list of Super Bowl celebrations on the Broadneck Peninsula on Sunday.

Starting today, Patch will run a new weekly feature called “Patch Picks,” highlighting editor and reader picks of great local businesses, destinations, services, organizations, ways to spend a day off, and more.

Today, we give you a list of places to watch the biggest football day of the year.

1)  Broadneck Cantina – Located next to the Broadneck Grill in the Cape St. Claire shopping center, this popular community bar invites fans to watch the NFL Playoffs with specials like 1/2 price appetizers, $2 domestic bottle beer, and $3 margaritas!

2)  Riverbay Roadhouse -  With football coming to a close, this business has some big plans for the Super Bowl. They will be offering $2 domestic bottles along with pulled pork sandwiches, pit beef sandwiches, 1/2 price wings and an oyster bar. Their huge screen in the dining room, as well as the flat screens in the bar, make this a prime location for real fans. Festivities begin at 5 p.m. The Roadhouse is also located in the Cape St. Claire shopping center.

3)  Griffin’s Grill - For their Super Bowl party, Griffin’s is offering $2 off their “pub grub” and offering $2 domestic beers as well. Half price wings and a $5.95 “build your own burger” ensure that no guests are hungry or thirsty during the big game.

4)  O’Loughlin’s Pub - The folks at O’Loughlin’s are ready for their loyal customers to hit the pub around 6 p.m., offering a half price large sub or tacos for only $2.50, $2 domestic beers, pitchers for $7.50, and Super Tubes of domestic beer for $9. 

5)  BEP Super Football Party - For those of you who would rather have a family-friendly event where kids and their parents can watch the big game on the big screen, Broadneck Evangelical Presbyterian invites guests to wear their favorite team jersey and to bring a comfy pillow and chair. The event is free, but guests are asked to bring a two liter bottle of soda and appetizer to share. Guests should arrive around 6 p.m.
