Patch Picks: Romantic Restaurants for Valentine's Day

1)  Deep Creek Restaurant and Marina in Arnold– Nothing beats the water when it comes to romance, and the window views looking out on the marina at Deep Creek is no exception. With a cozy fireplace and a special Valentines menu, men are sure to impress their sweethearts. The Valentine's Day special with a three-course meal for two is $79.95.

2)  Café Mezzanote in Severna Park– For those with the yearn for Italian, Café Messanotte right up Route 2 in Severna Park offers fresh, quality cuisine in an upscale and romantic setting. (A strolling violin is often seen throughout the dining room on the weekends.) The restaurant provides their 2011 Valentines Day menu, as well as coupons for various wines and tastings, on their website.

3)  Les Folies Brasserie in Annapolis – Décor, menu options, and live music will make couples believe they have traveled across the globe and entered a romantic Paris restaurant. Rave reviews on their food and wine options make this an attractive alternative for local couples.

4)  Severn Inn of Annapolis – Nominated by one of our Broadneck Patch Facebook friends, the restaurant is located on the eastern side of the Naval Academy Bridge. Its panoramic view of Annapolis, the Naval Academy and the Severn River provides one of the most romantic settings in the area. The price for their Valentines prix fixe will be $120 per couple for dinner, or $180 per couple with accompanying wine pairings.

5)  Café Bretton in Severna Park – Another suggestion from a Broadneck Patch Facebook friend, this local favorite is tucked away in a residential community on Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd. Its unique exterior and its beautiful interior with fresh flowers, an impressive wine list, and quality food using fresh ingredients (it has its own garden) make this destination an obvious Valentine's Day choice.
