PRISM Whistleblower Attended AACC in Arnold

Snowden was a student for about four years at the community college, a spokesman said.

Edward Snowden, an ex-CIA employee who blew the whistle on a spy program under the NSA, was once a student at Anne Arundel Community College, a spokesman for the college said.

Snowden released classified materials on an NSA surveillance program called PRISM to expose what he believed was quickly becoming a "surveillance state" in America, according to The Washington Post.

Snowden revealed himself as the source of the disclosure of the classified materials on Sunday, and since then, several news outlets have begun digging into who Snowden was.
