$100K Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In MD, Jackpot Resets To $20M

A Powerball jackpot run that lasted more than three months came to an end on Christmas Eve. In Maryland, five players won big prizes.

One lucky lottery player in Maryland won $100,000 in the record-breaking Powerball drawing held on Christmas Eve.

The winning numbers in the Dec. 24 Powerball drawing were white balls 4, 25, 31, 52 and 59. The red Powerball was 19, and the Power Play multiplier was 2.

A single ticket sold in Arkansas matched all six numbers drawn to win a $1.817 billion jackpot. The jackpot had a cash option of $834.9 million, according to Powerball's website, and was the second-largest ever won and the largest of 2025.

To win $100,000, players must match four white balls and the red Powerball, and have added the Power Play option to their ticket. In Maryland, the $100,000 ticket was sold at Dash In, located at 2575 Riva Rd. in Annapolis, lottery officials said.

There were also four $50,000 prizes in Wednesday's drawing on tickets sold at the following locations:

  • Royal Farms at 8268 Lark Brown Dr. in Elkridge
  • 7-Eleven at 20510 Frederick Rd. in Germantown
  • Safeway at 815 E. Main St. in Middletown
  • Safeway at 11201 Georgia Ave. in Wheaton

Nationwide, eight tickets matched all five white balls to win $1 million. The winning Match 5 tickets were sold in California, Indiana, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Virginia and Pennsylvania.

The drawing also produced 114 tickets that won $50,000 prizes and 31 tickets that won $100,000 prizes, according to Powerball's website.

Following Wednesday's drawing, the jackpot reset to $20 million.

Powerball tickets, which cost $2, are available in Maryland at gas stations, convenience stores, and grocery stores. The deadline to buy tickets for Saturday's drawing is 10 p.m.

The last time a Maryland player won the Powerball jackpot was on Jan. 20, 2021, when a $731.1 million ticket was claimed.

Maryland has had three jackpot winners since 2003. Together, they claimed jackpots totalling $968.7 million.
