See Kids, Goats Help with Weekend Cleanup
A Sunday cleanup at Lake Claire drew all sorts of helpers to Cape St. Claire.
For the past six months, the Friends of Lake Claire have been clearing the area around the lake of phragmites, an invasive species of reed.
On Sunday, dozens of neighbors in Cape St. Claire gathered together for another cleanup, this time with a little bit of extra help from goats. The animals were particularly a hit with the kids at the cleanup.

Volunteers weren't just clearing out phragmites on Sunday, either. They also were busy planting new vegetation to help replace what the phragmites had taken away from the lake.
The group meets once a month to organize cleanups. If you are interested in pitching in, visit their Facebook group for more information.
