Students, Professors To Haul Trucks for Prizes at AACC Thursday

New in this year's event are community teams.

Teams of five will heave a delivery truck with rope and brute strength in the second-annual Anne Arundel Community College Truck Pull on Thursday.

Last year's event drew more than 100 spectators, all gathered to watch fellow students and professors compete in pulling the empty delivery trucks across a finish line.

Organizer Kipp Snow, an instructor at AACC, said the pull is the main event, but there also will be a showcase of education, career, and company opportunities.

New in this year's event are community teams, competing right alongside students and faculty. Also new is a Passport Game where participants will vie for prizes while learning about job, career and educational opportunities in the transportation, logistics and supply chain industries.
