What's Open, Closed in Anne Arundel County on Thanksgiving

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, all Anne Arundel County government offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

All county-run senior centers will also be closed on Thursday and Friday. Anne Arundel County Public Schools are also closed for students this week. 

There will be no curbside pickup of trash or recycling on Thursday. Pickups normally scheduled for Thursday will occur Friday; curbside pickups normally scheduled for Friday will occur Saturday. County waste management facilities will also be closed on Thursday and Friday, but open on Saturday.

Anne Arundel County public libraries will also be closed on Thursday, but open regular hours on Friday.

If you need to grab some last minute ingredients for your Thanksgiving feast on Thursday, most local grocery stores will be open limited hours. Giant grocery stores will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Safeway will be open from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Wegman's will be open from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Whole Foods will be open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Trader Joe's will be closed.
