Whiz Kid of the Week: LeAn Nguyen

Name:  LeAn Nguyen

School:  Severn River Middle School, seventh grade

Accomplishment(s):

*Won the SRMS Spelling Bee as a sixth grader last year and a seventh grader this year.

*Placed third in the county spelling bee last year as a sixth grader.

*On Principal’s Honor Roll.

*Plays violin in SRMS Chamber and String Orchestra.

*Plays piano for the SRMS Jazz Band.

Key to Success:  “I don't really study like a lot of the Bee kids do. I am just able to see a word once and know it. I am looking at the study materials from national though, just in case."
