200+ Students, Staff In Quarantine Because Of COVID: BCPS
More than 200 students and staff members with Baltimore County Public Schools are in quarantine because of COVID, the district has reported.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — As of Friday, Nov. 12, there were 217 students and staff in quarantine due to a positive COVID-19 test or as a close contact with Baltimore County Public Schools. The district noted that close contact or quarantine does not indicate those students or staff have tested positive for COVID-19.
The school district releases these numbers weekly. According to the school district, these reported numbers reflect positive test results that have been self-reported to BCPS. There are more than 115,000 students enrolled at BCPS and an estimated 7,000 staff members.
As of Monday, Nov. 15, Baltimore County has a total of 77,595 positive new COVID-19 cases and 1,815 deaths, according to the Baltimore County Health Department.
