$50K Winning Lotto Ticket Boosts Sick Catonsville Man's Spirits, Will Help Pay Bills
A Catonsville man battling health issues couldn't believe his luck when he won $50K from the Maryland Lottery, which will help pay bills.
CATONSVILLE, MD — After facing tough times from a health perspective, a Catonsville man couldn't believe his luck after he won $50,000 in a "bonus match 5" game. The Baltimore County resident had played the game Aug. 13, but waited to cash in recently due to being preoccupied with medical appointments.
In fact, after the 68-year-old man left lottery headquarters, he headed straight to a medical appointment. But the win has buoyed the man's spirits, his wife told the lottery, and the money will come in handy.
“We’ll pay off some bills and then get some things done on the house,” the winner’s wife explained.
