Here are the top 3 stories in Catonsville today:

  1. Baltimore County Police are investigating an attack on a local man with autism who was beaten and kicked in the face while working at Catonsville Shoppers. Police are searching for two men whom witnesses reported fleeing the scene after they reportedly left Corey Roberson, 38, lying on the ground bleeding. Investigators believe the suspects may have mistaken Roberson for a different employee who had a physical confrontation at the store the previous day. Roberson received medical attention and is now recovering at home, according to WBAL TV. (WBAL TV)
  2. On Feb. 16, the Employees' Retirement Board approved a three percent cost of living adjustment for eligible retirees in Baltimore County, effective July 1, 2022. Eligible retirees have only received a single one percent increase in the past decade. Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski said, "this increase in compensation is well deserved and long overdue." (Press Release Desk)
  3. Brian Stewart, the school counseling chair at Catonsville High School, has officially been named Maryland School Counselor of the Year.
