  1. On Nov. 16, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. announced that Baltimore County Police Chief Melissa Hyatt will leave her position when her contract expires on Dec. 5. It is not clear whether an interim chief will be named or when the "national search" for her replacement will take place. (Subscription: Baltimore Sun)
  2. Baltimore County Public Schools hired another safety manager due to the continued increase in disciplinary problems. Law-enforcement veteran Donald Bridges will officially start on Jan. 3 as the newest member of the district's safety team. Bridges said, "As a safety manager, I think that what that position means is that we are going to provide each and every school house in Baltimore County a level of support." (WBAL-TV 11)
  3. Baltimore County detectives are asking for the public's help finding the suspect of the Oct. 2 fatal shooting in nearby Owings Mills. According to BCPD, 40-year-old Robert Perkins was shot multiple times in the 4500 block of Brightwater Court and succumbed to his wounds several days later. Baltimore County police ask anyone with information about this crime to contact 410-307-2020. (Daily Voice)
