Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- About six miles away from Catonsville, Baltimore County Police are investigating a dead body found Tuesday, Jan. 31, on Lansdowne Middle School property in Halethorpe. Police said the victim was a female adult who was found dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, but at this time the police do not think the death is related to the middle school. - Baltimore County Public Schools officials announced its month-long plans to celebrate this year's Black History Month. The February events and activities include spotlighting a different Black BCPS graduate every day on social media, the Black Excellence Program, the annual Black History Month writing contest, private performances by SOLE Defined dance company, and Black History Month trivia questions on BCPS Instagram Stories. - Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski announced the schedule for the fifth annual series of the county’s FY24 budget town hall meetings. Residents can email townhall@baltimorecountymd.gov to sign up to testify or submit their ideas and priorities for the budget in advance. District 1 Town Hall will take place on Wednesday, Mar. 8 at CCBC Catonsville Center for the Arts Building, 360 Campus Drive in Catonsville. The Community Cabinet Open House begins at 6:00 p.m., and the Town Hall begins at 6:30 p.m. (Avenue News)

- Baltimore County Arts Guild and Guinness Open Gate Brewery US have partnered for the 2023 Arts & Drafts Festival! The outdoor festival is from Jun. 24-25 at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery in nearby Halethorpe.
