- Detective Jimmy Waites, Baltimore County's new LGBTQ+ Liason Officer, announced the creation of the Baltimore County Police Department's new "Safe Space" initiative to aid LGBTQ+ residents. Community members, businesses, schools, and organizations can display the "Safe Space" decal to show the location is a safe place for members of the LGBTQ+ community to seek shelter from persecution and call the police. - The 29th annual Catonsville tree lighting ceremony took place on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 754 Frederick Road. Speaker of the Maryland House of Delegates Adrienne A. Jones and 7-year-old Omari Allen led the countdown to the lighting of the tree.
