Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- As of Thursday evening, Baltimore County Police are still searching for 24-year-old David Emory Linthicum, who is considered armed and dangerous. He was last seen wearing dark-colored shorts and a dark-colored short-sleeved shirt about 20 miles away from Catonsville in Cockeysville. Linthicum is described as a white man who is five feet and seven inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has long auburn hair, brown eyes, and a beard. Police warn the community not to approach Linthicum if he is seen, instead call 911. (WBAL-TV)
- A University of Maryland student has been "doxxed" by New Federal State of China, a group co-created by former Breitbart chairman and Trump administration member Steve Bannon. The organization has been protesting at the UMBC Catonsville campus holding New Federal State of China flags and passing out flyers with a picture of the student and her father, claiming the father is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. The organization has also publicly posted personal information about the student and her family for months. Many students are outraged at the harassment of one of their peers and as of Tuesday, the group is no longer allowed to reserve spaces to demonstrate on campus, according to UMBC spokesperson Dinah Winnick. - On Saturday, Feb. 11, Catonsville Rails To Trails and the Catonsville Rotary will host a ‘Winter Clean Up’ of the Number Eight Streetcar Path in West Catonsville. Volunteers are needed from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. to remove debris from fallen trees and thin out the vegetation near the Frederick Road entrance. Click here for more information and to sign up.
