Catonsville Couple Featured on Animal Planet Show

Rie Sadler and her fiancé Jim Jones have filmed a lot of ghosts and haunted houses over the years as they traveled the country as paranormal investigators.

But one of the hardest cases they ever had was a house in the Broadneck area of Annapolis, where a family believed it was being attacked by a spirit living in the house. The family's house will be the subject of tonight's episode of The Haunted on Animal Planet at 10 p.m.

A production crew from the show filmed with Sadler and Jones, who run an organization called PRISMd, for five days in December. The Paranormal Research and Investigation Society of Maryland is a group open for people to join to investigate sightings of ghosts or other strange things.

The family saw black masses in their house, and experienced growling and bizarre phone calls. Family members also said they were being scratched and bitten by something in the house.

"They weren't dealing with Casper the Friendly Ghost," Sadler said, who can't reveal the show's end result.

Being filmed by someone else as they do their work was a new experience, Sadler said, as Sadler and Jones were also working with other paranormal experts on the episode.

Sadler was also used as "bait" for the spirit in the show, but can't say what happened.

"It did make its presence known," she said.
