Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. On the close of business today, Feb. 18, the Catonsville branch of the Baltimore County Public Library, located at 1100 Frederick Road, will close its doors to customers for a 12-month full renovation project. Of the estimated $8 million cost, the Baltimore County government will cover a portion of the funding and the 2020 fiscal year Maryland State Library Capital Grant will cover $1.1 million. The new updates will include a new recording studio, a new customer service desk, a public meeting room, a dedicated teen area, new LED lighting throughout the building, new laptop bars, seating, shelving, work tables, conference tables, and reading areas.   2. The Catonsville Chamber of Commerce announced the band lineup for Frederick Road Fridays 2023! This year, Frederick Road Fridays begin on Jun. 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
    Bands include Foreplay - A Tribute to 70's Rock, Ghost Town Radio, Shake The Room, Controlled Chaos, The Soul Magnets, and more. (Catonsville Chamber of Commerce via Facebook)
