  1. According to the Maryland Department of Health, as of Apr. 8, 2022, there have been 131,964 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Baltimore County. The CDC reported that 95 percent of Maryland adults (18 years or older) have been vaccinated with at least one dose of the vaccine. The number of COVID-19 cases in Catonsville zip codes are 6,120 cases in zip code 21043; 5,973 cases in zip code 21227; 8,074 cases in zip code 21228; 8,681 cases in zip code 21229; and 110 cases in zip code 21250.   2. The UMBC Catonsville men's Division 1 lacrosse team won 16 to 7 against Albany on Saturday, Apr. 9, 2022. Brian Tregoning scored three goals and had three assists for the Retrievers. Mike Doughty scored two goals and had four assists. (Baltimore Sun)
  3. Catonsville resident Henry Tolker was coached by his father Greg Tolker, an All-American attackman at Mount St. Mary’s from 1985 to 1988, on the Catonsville Travel team. Henry now plays as a freshman for the Navy men’s lacrosse team and is one of the team's leaders, with 17 goals and 21 ground balls. Coach Joe Amplo is impressed with Henry and said, "Henry is acting a lot wiser than a freshman. He’s playing with tremendous poise, confidence and calmness and is not afraid of the moment.
