- A Catonsville family has a little more information about the officers who came to their home three times to serve warrants to a suspect who did not live there. On Apr. 4, 2022, it was confirmed that the officers were from the Maryland Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS). The Lovaas family said DPSCS apologized, and a DPSCS spokeswoman confirmed that the department is conducting an administrative investigation. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
- On Monday, Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski Jr. and Baltimore County Police Chief Melissa Hyatt announced the budget plan for 2023. The plan includes hiring 100 more officers, including new floating school resource officers, a wellness director, a police-community engagement coordinator, new data scientists, and new forensics technicians. The budget plan will be presented to the Baltimore County Council on Apr. 14, 2022. (Patch)
