Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:
- Yesterday morning, Mar. 27, there was a fatal fire in the 3300 block of Ripple Road. Though firefighters were able to control the fire at 4:48 a.m., one person died in the incident. The age and gender of the victim are unknown; the Baltimore County Fire Department is investigating the fire. (WMAR 2 News)
- To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Oriole Park at Camden Yards, there will be "1992 throwback pricing" for the first two Orioles home series against the Milwaukee Brewers and the New York Yankees (Apr. 12, 13, 15, 16, and 17). The ticket prices will be the same as they were when the ballpark opened on Apr. 6, 1992. Bleacher tickets will be $4, reserve seats will be $8, and box seats will be $12, $13, and $18. Hot dogs will also be the 1992 price, $1.75. (WBALTV)
- Katyrah Davenport aka Katyrah Love, who attended Catonsville High School, appeared on the American Idol “Auditions 5a” episode on Sunday, Mar. 27. Katyrah Love is a singer-songwriter, percussionist, event host, and poet. The Maryland native sang R&B at the season 20 American Idol audition. (MJs Big Blog)
