Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- KidzPark, located at 6030 Baltimore National Pike in Catonsville, is a new indoor playground for kids of all ages. The playground includes a town with buildings that toddlers can play inside, wall mazes, a ball pit, a soft foam pit, wall climbing, climbing structures, slides, ball cannons, mini bikes, bumper cars, and so much more. - Tomorrow, Apr. 19, the habitat restoration team at the Benjamin Banneker Historical Park and Museum will remove invasive plants from the park, plant native plants, and restore the natural habitat. Volunteers, aged 14 and older, are needed to help the habitat restoration team. RSVP with the Banneker Park and Museum office. (Baltimore County Government)
- Today, Apr. 18, is the last day to file and pay your federal income tax return. The IRS announced that tax help is available to file a tax return, request an extension to file (the new deadline would be Oct. 15), or make a payment on IRS.gov. The Maryland comptroller's office reported that the state filing deadline has been extended to Jul. 15, 2022. According to the IRS, taxpayers are receiving about $333 more in refunds than last year, an 11.5 percent increase. (Maryland Patch)
