Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- At 5 p.m. on Mar. 31, there was a house fire in the 100 block of Newburg Avenue in Catonsville. Baltimore County fire crews responded and found the second and third stories of the three-story home engulfed in flames. There were no injuries to civilians, but a firefighter was sent to the University of Maryland hospital for evaluation. (WMAR 2 News)
- On Mar. 31 at about 4 p.m., heavy winds caused a tree to fall on a van in the 200 block of Rollingfield Road in Catonsville. The white van was crushed, but no one was hurt. (WMAR 2 News)
- Catonsville residents Laurie and Mike Lovaas report that they've had police come to their home to serve warrants to a suspect who does not live there. Court records show the suspect may have lived in the Lovaas' home before they purchased it. Mike Lovaas said, "I was terrified for my safety, and for my wife and son's safety." When the Lovaas' asked how could they stop this from happening again in the future, Laurie said the police responded, "You can move." Earlier this week, another woman in northwest Baltimore experienced the same problem. (WBAL TV Baltimore)
