Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:

  1. Former correctional administrator Earl Huch and his wife, Lois Eldred, Catonsville locals, decided to become Airbnb hosts. Earl said, "We had just done a renovation with a bedroom, bath and separate entrance. We wanted to make a little extra money." Now their $75-a-night Airbnb is almost fully booked through the end of 2022. Travelers are seeking affordable rooms in the Baltimore area, increasing the demand for Airbnb rooms. (AARP)

Catonsville now improves to 9-0 overall and 4-0 in league play. Catonsville players Johnny Bolster and Frank Manalansan scored two goals each, goalie Brian Ruppel had eight saves, and Nate Wess showed strong faceoff work. (Baltimore Sun)
  3. Tomorrow, Apr. 4, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Jun-Shihan Tom Swiss, Catonsville Seido Karate branch chief, will host "Community Self-Defense: A basic class for Adults and Teens" age 13 and up, at Revolve Wellness Studios in Catonsville. It is a "pay what you will" class, but the suggested donation is $25. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to the International Committee of the Red Cross for humanitarian relief in Ukraine.
