Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. Catonsville native Ashleigh Jankowski, a junior at Rowan University, was nominated by the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering and earned the prestigious 2022 Goldwater Scholarship. The Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program
    is one of the most prestigious awards an undergraduate student can receive. Jankowski is majoring in biomedical engineering in the pharmaceutical engineering and therapeutic delivery track with a minor in chemistry. She is also pursuing the Thomas N. Bantivoglio Honors Concentration in the Honors College. (Rowan Today)
  2. On Wednesday, the Catonsville High School softball team won 2 to 1 against Carver Center. Catonsville Maggie Kries struck out 11 in a six-hitter and had two hits and an RBI offensively. (Baltimore Sun)
  3. On Saturday, Apr. 23, Golf Park Acres in Catonsville is having a yard sale from 8:00 a.m. to noon. Located at 801 Hilltop at the corner of Valley and Hilltop; the neighborhood is across from the Rolling Road Country Club entrance. Some items for sale include cherry wood furniture, picture frames, new drop ceiling cross members, glassware, decorative pieces, chain saws, a bed frame, headboard, mattress, Ravens/Colts memorabilia, and more.
