  1. The Maryland Arborist Association visited the historical Tudor Hall in Leonardtown for their Maryland Aborist Day event on Nov. 5. About 30 Maryland arborists, including Edwin’s Landscaping and Tree Experts of Catonsville, visited the historical site to offer a pro bono landscaping service for the property during the annual event. Tudor Hall, the home of Moll Dyer Rock and a huge English Yew, dates back to Phillip Key, uncle of Francis Scott Key, the author of the Star Spangled Banner. (Bay Net)
  2. The State of Maryland has created MarylandSaves, an innovative retirement savings program, to help businesses comply with a new statewide law. The law requires employers to offer a payroll-deducted automatic retirement savings program option. MarylandSaves is offering a $300 fee waiver for any businesses registered in the program by Dec. 1.   3. The Metro Red Line service will be suspended this weekend from Fort Totten to Glenmont. No Red Line trains will be running to Takoma, Silver Spring, Forest Glen, and other locations on the line. The suspension is due to switch replacement and servicing. Free shuttle buses will be available from Glenmont to Fort Totten while the trains run every 10 minutes. (BethesdaMagazine.com)
