- Norman Rosen, 84, of nearby Towson was sentenced to four months of home detention as part of 18 months probation, followed by three years of supervised release. Rosen was the medical director of Rosen-Hoffberg Rehabilitation and Pain Management Associates, a pain management clinic in Baltimore County, and plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute and dispense oxycodone. Rosen had a role in the conspiracy to overprescribe prescription medication out of his office, but still avoided jail time. (Daily Voice)
- On Jan. 25, the Foundation for Baltimore County Public Library announced the creation of the Charlie Robinson Endowed Master of Library Science (MLS) Memorial Scholarship, a renewable annual scholarship honoring Baltimore County Public Library Director Charles Robinson. - Wilbur, a rooster that lives in northern Baltimore county, is free to crow once more! The complaints, that were filed by a neighbor about Wilbur's crowing, have been dropped. Wilbur's family had created an online petition to save their rooster, since the complaints would have cost thousands of dollars in fines, which might have contributed to the neighbors dropping the complaints.
