- Yesterday, Jul. 11, Gov. Larry Hogan and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources announced that Maryland is awarding $18.8 million in grants for 22 ecological restoration projects that improve the Chesapeake Bay watershed’s water quality and habitats. The Baltimore County Department of Environmental Protection and Sustainability will receive the grant for two stream restoration projects at Minebank Run in Towson and Miller Run in Catonsville. - On Sunday, Jul. 10, hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the life of Efraim Gordon, a 31-year-old who was shot and killed in a May 2021 carjacking. Gordon's cousin, Dovid Reyder, said that Gordon spent time at his new synagogue in Catonsville on his final day. (CBS Local)
