- Jaekwan Jacob Stephens, 25, of Middle River was convicted of killing Baltimore native Charles Green, 27, outside a Catonsville apartment complex. On Aug. 18, 2020 in the 200 block of Garden Ridge Road, police say Stephens and Green got into argument and Stephens shot Green multiple times in the back of the head, torso, and legs. Catonsville resident Jen Gaynor was one of the first customers to buy the reduced price gas, and said she "was pretty happy to see $3.93 pop up, because I do need gas. Otherwise, I’ll need AAA to get me back to Catonsville." Senate President Bill Ferguson said "we are showing that Maryland leaders know that when there are problems that Marylanders are facing, we come together and we fix them." (Delmarva Now)
- Rodney Henry is the new coach of the Catonsville High tennis team. He also sings, plays guitar, is the owner of Dangerously Delicious Pies, was a runner-up on in 2014 on "Food Network Star," and in the summer he teaches at the culinary school Good Counsel. As a coach, one of his main focuses is to teach the kids not to dwell on their mistakes. The first match of the season will be on Mar. 25 at Catonsville High against Perry Hall. (Baltimore Sun)
