Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:
- Bra'Niya Walker, 16, went missing from the Catonsville area on Mar. 24. She is five feet and nine inches tall, 90 pounds, and was last seen wearing green scrubs and a black jacket. If anyone sees her or has information call 911 or 410-307-2020. (Baltimore County Police)
- Baltimore County's new emergency alert system, BaltCo Alert, is now operational. BaltCo Alert sends automated notifications (phone calls, text, and/or e-mails) to users about situations such as severe weather, hazardous materials spills, widespread utility outages, disaster evacuations, and emergency situations near schools. Baltimore County Executive Johnny Olszewski said "BaltCo Alert allows us to instantly share critical and time-sensitive information with the Baltimore County community." (Patch)
- Mary Ellen Beaty-O’Ferrall, a Catonsville resident, convinced her neighbors to help fill boxes with essentials (socks, bandages, clothing, soap, medical supplies, lip balm, and more) to donate to Ukraine. Father Vasyl Sivinskyi from St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church collects the donations and said he has seen people of all faiths come together in support of the people of Ukraine.
