Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:
- Audacy Sports “105.7 The Fan” WJZ-FM Catonsville/Baltimore announced “Baltimore Baseball Tonight," a new show focused on Baltimore’s professional baseball team, The Orioles. The show will start on Apr. 7 and air at 6:00 p.m. on game nights. Tracy Brandys, Senior Vice President and Market Manager of Audacy Baltimore, said they are "extremely excited to get back out with the fans at Pickles Pub and share our collective passion for the team alongside Bob, Bill, Mike, Jim, and Cordell – five individuals who have decades of insight on the team." - The Catonsville High School baseball team won five to four against Sparrows Point High School. Pitcher Luke Kelly pitched seven innings and pinch hitter Bennett Eiswert hit a two-out, two-run double for the win. Catonsville coach Eric Warm said "it was a big win because Sparrows Point was a state finalist last year and they beat us twice last year and they have their entire starting team back." - Pothole season has arrived in Maryland, and the Maryland State Highway Administration reportedly spends about $3 million on pothole repairs and repairs at least 34,000 potholes every year. Tim Smith of the Maryland State Highway Administration said "the main ingredient for potholes is water from winter precipitation going through several freeze-thaw cycles." The AAA suggests that drivers should slow down and avoid abrupt braking if they cannot avoid a pothole. (Catonsville Patch)
