Officials Warned Of Potential "Call Out" By Bus Drivers In Baltimore County This Week
Officials have been warned of a potential "call out" by bus drivers this week that could affect Baltimore County Public Schools families.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Another "call out" may take place this week, potentially affecting Baltimore County Public Schools families. According to WMAR, BCPS officials were notified that school bus drivers were planning the event where drivers call out sick to protest wages and other issues of concern to them.
Dozens of bus routes were impacted across Baltimore County last week with the call out, prompting school officials to offer a $250 signing bonus. Additional incentives include $50 per month for a driver with perfect attendance and an employee referral benefit, along with a $1,000 retention bonus and leave conversion during winter and spring breaks for existing drivers.
Baltimore County bus drivers, who are guaranteed 40 hours a week and receive full benefits, are scheduled to receive a 2 percent Cost Of Living Adjustment starting Jan. 1, 2022.
