Police Investigating Shooting at Gas Station

Incident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. on Baltimore National Pike

Baltimore County Police are continuing to investigate a shooting that left one man injured in what police believe was an attempted robbery this morning on Baltimore National Pike.

At 6:15 a.m., two suspects approached the gas station attendant working at the Carroll Fuel on the 5200 block of Baltimore National Pike, according to police spokesman Lt. Rob McCullough. The attendant, who police identified as a 66-year-old black man, resisted when the suspects tried to force him into the back of the gas station.

One of the suspects had a handgun and shot the attendant in the face. The suspects then ran away. The attendant was able to call for help. When police responded to the scene, they started to search for the suspect.
