Here are the top three stories in Catonsville today:
- On Saturday, Mar. 26, Patapsco Heritage Greenway Inc. (PHG) is hosting an event to remove the invasive vines that strangle trees at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) in Catonsville. PHG will supply volunteers with the equipment and tools to remove the vines. (Eventbrite)
- Despite the rain on Wednesday, 30 Baltimore County police officers participated in a Polar Bear Plunge to support Special Olympics Maryland. For the second year in a row, Baltimore County police took the plunge together at Rocky Point Beach Park in nearby Essex. Some officers will be "plunging" again at tomorrow's Corporate, Police, Military, EMT and Firefighter Plunge at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis. (WBAL TV)
- Catonsville native Erin Kreis was named the MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week. Erin plays for the Stevens Institute of Technology softball team. The head softball coach Emily Kaczmarek said, "I am excited for Erin to have received this recognition. It was awesome to see her throw her first collegiate no-hitter."
