Reports: Former UMBC Employee Sentenced for Theft
Former Catonsville resident created fake invoices
A former employee was sentenced Wednesday to two years suspended sentence and two years probation for felony theft.
According to report from WBAL, Franco Nunoo-Quarcoo of Superior Township, Michigan created invoices between 2007 and 2008 billing the university for repairs for silk screening equipment.
City Biz List reported that the invoices were created so he could purchase rugs for his Catonsville home. When he was sentenced, the defendant returned $9,800 to UMBC.
