Here are the top three stories today in Catonsville:

  1. The Board of Education of Baltimore County held a virtual meeting last night, Mar. 10, at 7:30 p.m. to discuss "potential changes to school policies on student discipline" due to the recent violence in schools. Recently there have been several violent incidents in or outside of Baltimore County Public Schools, including the shooting outside Catonsville High School in February. (WMAR 2 News)
  2. The University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) men's basketball team, the Retrievers, won a tournament semifinal 80 to 60 against Hartford on Mar. 9 at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Catonsville. The Retrievers will go to the America East title game and play Vermont on Saturday, Mar. 12, An automatic spot in the NCAA tournament is on the line for the Retrievers. Good luck, UMBC!
